DMC COLORIS. DESCRIPTION AND DETAILS DMC Coloris is a multi-color 100% cotton thread composed of a blend of four complementary DMC floss colors in one thread. The colors change every 5 cm with little gradation between them, making a dazzling pattern in cross stitch. The effect varies with how the stitches are constructed: a single cross stitch at a time or a run of several stitches together. The colors correspond to the 117 Floss colors, so you can coordinate DMC Coloris with DMC Embroidery Floss to stitch beautiful designs with colors that complement one another. All 24 Coloris colors tell a story, evoking a special flower, place, or time through the selection of colors. Coloris features the familiar 8.7 yards in a pull skein put-up. It is
comprised of six size 25 easily separated strands, allowing you to adjust
the thickness of your stitching by using a different number of strands. The
thread is 100% colorfast, fade resistant, and offers guaranteed DMC color
consistency from one skein to another. Made in France. DMC Coloris is 100% colorfast and can be washed in warm water 60° C/140°
F. Particular attention should be paid to the fabric on which the thread was
embroidered. Wash your embroidery with one teaspoon of mild soap such as
Orvus. After washing, gently wring it out and rinse it as many times as
necessary to get the soap out of it (until the water is clear). Use almost
cold water to rinse the piece. Wrap the embroidery in a towel to remove
excess water, then dry flat. Place the embroidery on a clean towel,
preferably while still damp, and iron on the reverse side, at the
temperature setting recommended for the fabric. |
